Moving Equipment to the new Sports Centre

FAO Club Committee

We are working closely with the CSR Facilities team to transition sports clubs to the new Strathclyde Sport facility for 2018-19 academic year, and prior to the summer break up, we have been asked to identify club equipment that will a) be moved over; b) be disposed of.

Sports Clubs have now been asked to tape equipment that will require transportation by University Estates to the new Strathclyde Sport facility by Friday 18th May 2018. Equipment should be easily identifiable for any porters to ensure no issues on the day.

Club committees should contact Scott Neil (CSR Facilities Manager) to arrange access to appropriare clubs stores.

Tape will be available to collect in the office from Monday 30th April 2018.

As per previous correspondence from the Sports President, the RCG swimming pool will be permanently closed, along with the RCG and associated changing facilities on Friday 18th May at the usual closing times. This closure is due to the need to remove the dedicated gas heating boilers that heat the swimming pool as part of the University’s ongoing District Energy project.

For clubs who wish to train during this summer while RCG is out of action, please contact Habbi on who can explore opportunities to make use of the CSR activities room.
